Movie Review: This Is The End
Its the end of the world and a bunch of celebs realize its about to go from bad to worse. This Is the End, is fulled with stars who all play themselves. Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel attend a party at James Franco’s house. After a weird fight and seeing some people get sucked into the sky by a blue light they come to find out that nobody in their star packed party got taken and its the Apocalypse. The movie starts with a who’s who of the younger Hollywood crowd. After the beginning bloodbath we are left with Rogen, Baruchel, Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, and Emma Watson. What happens later just continues on the road of what the hell can we get away with.
This Is The End is just a running gag of dick jokes and who’s the bigger pretentious assholes. After all the nonsense, this movie goes from bad to worse. There’s crude jokes about demons with who may want to eat you, may want to kill you might want to just have sex with you. Its just all over the place and stopped being funny really early. As much as I usually like Danny McBride his over the top asshole persona as well as Jonah Hill playing the guy we all thing of as Michael Cera its just bizarre. And you can tell some of it is just so over the top because they were hoping to cut it got a better rating. Instead it got an R no need to cut any of the trash.
Spoiler alert (highlight text to read) It wasn’t really funny until Channing Tatum did his tiny guest appearance and I actually laughed at the Backstreet Boys in heaven.
I was so annoyed when I walked out of this I wanted my money back and I didn’t even had to pay to see this. I’m sure this is the worse thing I’ve seen all year.
